This was my first live meditation on here (just a few minutes ago), and at the beginning I shared that I would post it to allow those who could not attend to tune in when they can.
However moments after concluding, I felt my mind say ‘I can’t post that’.
Only 1 person joined live, I was interrupted mid-way through and it wasn’t great quality with being filmed on my phone on my bed. It didn’t feel ‘good enough’ to post.
Thankfully, due to being in a beautiful meditative space, I allowed myself to observe these thoughts without giving them too much weight.
That’s why now I’m writing this message to share with my first very casual - but true to me - live meditation.
Because I didn’t decide to do this in the hopes that loads of people show up, we all know that if we can even help one person, the ripple effects can be immense.
And meditation is there as a tool to help us access the patience we need to navigate the things that don’t go to plan, with grace.
Realistically we won’t always be in our own fancy meditation room or secluded on a mountain. We might be meditating on public transportation or in somewhat quiet corner of an otherwise busy home.
Ultimately it’s not a performance, it’s to support your holistic health and well-being, and that’s something I’m very grateful this meditation reminded me of today.
I will be going live sharing a mindful body scan meditation on the first Monday of each month, to create an accessible space for us all to tune in and connect to our center so that we can relax, resource our energy and move with compassion.
